Twiggy has lived with us for nearly 7 years now and we love her so much! We found her in 2005 just at 1 and 1/2 months old, hiding under a pine tree in my grandma’s yard. The night before we found her, the remnants of Hurricane Katrina had come through the area, bringing very strong storms and heavy rain and wind, as well as some tornadoes (we live in Pennsylvania). The poor kitten was outside under the pine tree all night in the storm. To this day, she still doesn’t like thunderstorms. Twiggy loves to go outside, but to ensure that she doesn’t run off, we put her on a leash. Most cats hate being on a leash but she doesn’t mind at all, as long as she can go outside, eat some grass and watch the birds. Even at nearly 7 years old, she loves to play, almost as much as she did as a kitten. Once in a while she gets into a fit and runs up and down the hallway, climbing up any door frame she can find. Funny story though, she’s declawed, yet manages to hold on to the door frame for quite some time! She never quite grew out of her kitten meow, so when she meows, it’s very high pitched and squeaky, but so cute! She is a very sweet, loving cat and I just can’t imagine not having her as a pet!
